Hundreds Attend WorkMatters Leadership Conference!

The fifth annual WorkMatters Leadership conference was held on Friday, April 18 and we continue to hear positive feedback. Nearly 1,000 tickets were sold to business leaders from over 130 companies who gathered, once again, for a day of learning, inspiration, and life change! Attendees not only included those from the northwest Arkansas region, but also many traveled from Ft. Smith, Little Rock and Missouri. The conference is broadcast live via satellite from Atlanta, Ga. and the WorkMatters Leadership Conference was the largest of over 400 simulcast locations in North America.

This year's theme "Advance" featured renowned leadership experts, business leaders and sports analysts including including: John Maxwell, bestselling author and acclaimed leadership expert; Patrick Lencioni, best-selling author and management team authority; Dan Cathy, CEO and servant leader of Chick-fil-A; and more. The ideas and information shared by these speakers was thought-provoking and inspired participants to learn to advance at work, and in life.

Hope to see you at next year's conference on May 8, 2009!

Attendee Feedback

Read feedback we recently received from some of this year's Conference attendees:

"I had the privilege of attending the WorkMatters Advance conference last Friday, and I loved it! I am 30 years old, and have worked hard to get where I am. I work for an AWESOME company, and our CEO is the epitome of a true leader. However, I work with some other people who fall far from that tree. Doing the right thing is not always doing the easiest thing. I was down...and then I was invited to go to your conference. I feel like God literally came down and handed me this awesome gift...WorkMatters is exactly what I needed. I can make a difference in people's lives, and I appreciate you awakening me to that spark I once had."

"We can't tell you how blessed we were as an office to attend the WorkMatters Leadership Conference last Friday. Thank you for the commitment that you keep in offering opportunities for us to learn, be challenged and be fed. We already are looking forward to next year's conference. Hurry!"

"Wow! What a great leadership conference! I think I have attended all of them, and that was the best one!"

Special Thanks to our Sponsors and Volunteers!

With 30 companies sponsoring the event, the Leadership Conference was also successful in raising needed funds for the non-profit WorkMatters organization. David Roth, WorkMatters president said, "I continue to be amazed by the interest and response from individuals and companies to invest their time and resources in becoming more ethical leaders at work, as well as at home. This leadership conference is a cornerstone of our mission to 'bridge the gap between faith and work.'"

Special thanks go to Fellowship Bible Church for their facilities, resources, and enthusiastic support and to our volunteers for their endless energy and dedication.
